Callaghan Nobuck Soft Loafer in Green

These Callaghan green loafers for men, the Nobuck Soft model, are the sort of shoe you reach for without thinking: slip them on and you're out of the door. The decorative lacing gives them a nautical feel, so they look just as right on the seafront as at the office on a dress-down Friday.

Materials and finish

The upper is nubuck in a muted olive green, with a soft, matte, velvety feel; lower down the sides you can see a leather with slightly more grain. Cream contrast stitching runs around the vamp and the edge, and a tan lace threads through pale eyelets on a dark navy panel for that boat-shoe touch. There's a Callaghan tab on the side, and the insole is printed with the Callaghan Adaptaction mark.

Fit

This is a true slip-on: the lace is purely decorative, so the hold comes from the last and the instep. The sole is flat, and the photos show small studs on the underside, the kind of base you appreciate in a relaxed everyday shoe. Care
