Callaghan Nobuck Soft loafer in beige

These Callaghan beige loafers for men are the Nobuck Soft model: a slip-on in sand-coloured nubuck that you can step into in a second and wear from morning coffee to an evening stroll along the seafront.

The design

The vamp has classic moccasin stitching on show, picked out in a pale thread that traces the top of the foot. A brown leather lace runs round the collar through metal eyelets – a nod to the boat shoe, though here it's purely decorative, so there's nothing to tie. On the side, a tan leather panel and a small brand tab add a warm contrast to the beige.

Materials and comfort

The upper is nubuck, a leather with a soft, velvety feel and a matt finish that looks more relaxed than smooth leather. The sole is slim and flexible, with rounded grey studs and a red band marked Adaptaction, and it curves up slightly at the heel in the style of a driving moc. Made in Spain.

Fit

With no laces or buckle, the fit comes down to choosing the right size. We stock EU sizes 34 to 47.

How to wear them

Beige is easy to style: think rolled-up chinos, linen trousers, tailored shorts or light-wash jeans. They're made for relaxed days on the Costa del Sol, and with a linen shirt and a brown belt they'll see you through a casual dinner in the marina too.

Care

Brush them dry with a nubuck brush and give them a coat of protector spray before the first wear to help keep water and marks out. If they get wet, let them dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun.
