Pikolinos Jerez 09Z-3100 men's loafer in blue leather

The blue Pikolinos Jerez loafer (09Z-3100) is a men's slip-on made for warm weather: calfskin leather perforated from toe to heel, elastic gussets at the sides and a flexible sole that moves with your foot. It slips on and off easily and works just as well for a stroll along the seafront as for a long drive.

Materials and comfort

The upper is calfskin with a pattern of small square cut-outs that lets air through across the vamp and sides, which you'll appreciate on a hot day on the Costa del Sol. Contrast stitching in a pale thread runs around the toe and heel, giving it that hand-finished moccasin look, while a thin burgundy stripe adds a touch of colour on the side. The insole is removable, so you can take it out to air or swap in your own orthotic. The sole is synthetic, with grip pods that wrap up the back of the heel, driving-shoe style. Heel height is around 2.5 cm.

Fit

There are no laces or buckles: the elastic side panels open up as you slide your foot in and then draw the shoe back in, so it holds your foot without pinching. Being leather, it gradually moulds to the shape of your foot as you wear it.

How to wear it

Navy-toned blue is easy to style. Pair it with stone chinos, light-wash jeans, linen shorts or white trousers. It's a sockless summer shoe (or wear it with invisible socks), equally at home on a relaxed day in Marbella, at a casual dinner or packed for a holiday.
