These men's Birkenstock Arizona sandals in Stone take the brand's best-known two-strap design and finish it in nubuck-effect Birko-Flor, model code 151213. The soft stone-grey shade is an easy match for most of what you'd wear on a warm day.

Materials and comfort

The upper is Birko-Flor Nubuck, Birkenstock's own synthetic material with the matt look and feel of nubuck, but lighter and lower-maintenance than leather. Underneath sits the classic cork and latex footbed with its contoured profile, which gradually moulds to your foot the more you wear it. It's topped with a suede lining that feels pleasant against bare skin. The flexible EVA sole keeps the weight right down, so they're comfortable for long days strolling along the seafront or around town. They're made in Germany.

Fit

Each of the two wide straps has its own metal pin buckle, so you can adjust the fit across the toes and the instep separately. Being open at the back, they slip on and off in seconds. Available in EU sizes 39 to 48.

How to wear them

Stone is a neutral grey that works with chino shorts, rolled-up jeans, white or sand-coloured linen trousers and short-sleeved shirts. Ideal for everyday life on the Costa del Sol, a relaxed evening out or travelling light.
