The Birkenstock Arizona EVA men's sandal in Roast (code 1027328) takes the familiar two-strap design and makes it in EVA, a featherweight material that's happy to get wet. Just the thing for the beach, the pool and long, hot days on the Costa del Sol.

Materials and comfort

The upper, footbed and sole are moulded as one piece of EVA, so there are no seams or linings to soak up water – simply rinse them off. They weigh next to nothing and the material gives a soft, cushioned feel underfoot. The footbed keeps Birkenstock's anatomical shape, with a heel cup and support under the arch, so they stay comfortable on a long stroll along the promenade. Made in Germany.

Fit

How to wear them

Roast is a rich mid-brown that hides wear better than black or white and looks right with swim shorts, linen shorts, chino shorts or rolled-up jeans. Throw them in your beach bag, wear them to the gym showers, or head straight from the sand to a terrace bar without changing shoes.

Care

Wash with water and a little mild soap. Let them dry in the shade and avoid leaving them in strong sun or near a heat source for long, as EVA can lose its shape.
