Materials and comfort

The upper is Birko-Flor Nubuck, Birkenstock's own synthetic with the look and feel of nubuck: hard-wearing and easy to wipe clean. The cork and latex footbed is shaped to the foot, with arch support, a gently deepened heel cup and plenty of room for your toes. It moulds to your footprint over time, so expect it to feel a little firm for the first few days. The footbed is lined with suede, which is pleasant against bare skin, and the EVA sole is light and cushions every step. Made in Germany.

Fit

Two wide straps with separate metal buckles let you adjust the toes and instep independently. Several retailers list this reference as the brand's narrow fit, which suits slimmer feet.
