Materials and comfort

The upper is Birko-Flor with a patent finish, a synthetic material that wipes clean easily and keeps its shine. Underneath sits Birkenstock's contoured cork-latex footbed, topped with a layer of leather that gradually moulds to the shape of your foot as you wear it. The EVA sole is light and flexible, so they feel easy underfoot whether you're pottering round town or strolling along the seafront. They're made in Germany.

Fit

Each strap has its own metal buckle, so you can adjust the toe area and the instep independently until they feel just right. With an open back, they slip on and off in seconds, which is handy around the house, by the pool or when you're popping out for a coffee.
