These Pikolinos Xativa white trainers are men's leather sneakers with the look of a classic court shoe: clean lines, a flat sole and very little fuss. They work just as well for a relaxed day at the office as for a wander through town at the weekend.

Materials and design

The upper is smooth white leather with visible stitching outlining each panel. The toe is finished with small perforations, while the heel tab and tongue come in a pale grey that adds a subtle contrast without stealing the show. A grey stripe on the side of the sole, near the heel, picks up the same shade. A small Pikolinos label on the side and the red logo on the footbed round things off.

Fit

They fasten with traditional laces, so you can adjust them to your foot and to thicker or thinner socks. The collar is padded and the tongue has a bit of body to it, which makes a difference around the ankle when you're on your feet all day. The low-profile sole has a patterned tread and is made for town: pavements, cobbles and long strolls.

How to wear them

Care

When they get grubby, wipe the leather with a slightly damp soft cloth and let them dry naturally, away from direct sun and radiators. A neutral cream for smooth leather every so often helps keep it supple and looking smart. The laces can be washed separately to keep them bright.
