The Mephisto Jozio blue boat shoe takes the classic deck shoe and sets it on a chunky, trainer-style white sole – ideal for men who spend a lot of time on their feet but still want to look put together.
The design
The vamp is blue nubuck with a subtle micro-perforated finish, while the heel and eyelet panel are smooth leather in a matching shade. You get the traditional moccasin stitching on the toe, a boat-shoe lace threaded round the sides through metal eyelets and a small embossed logo on the quarter. A flash of red at the back adds a bit of character.
Inside and underfoot
The interior has a natural tan finish, and the footbed is printed with the brand name and a genuine leather mark. The sole is white around the sides and blue underneath, wide and lugged for grip on the promenade or wet pavements, with an almost flat profile.
