The Ecco Gruuv Lite beige women's trainers are light, easy to slip on and comfortable enough to wear all day, whether you're strolling round Marbella's old town or running errands.

Materials and comfort

The upper pairs an airy open-knit textile with leather overlays on the toe, sides and heel. Inside there's a textile lining and a foam insole topped with breathable fabric, which you can take out. The white sole is lightweight, cushioned and flexes naturally as you walk. Ecco builds the shoe using its FLUIDFORM™ Direct Comfort Technology, bonding sole and upper together.

Fit

Instead of standard laces you get an elastic speed-lace with a toggle, so a quick pull is all it takes, plus a heel tab that makes stepping in effortless. The removable insole also lets you adjust the width, which is handy if your feet are on the broader side or you wear your own orthotics.

How to wear them

Soft beige with a crisp white sole goes with pretty much everything. Try them with turned-up jeans, as in the photo, chinos, a shirt dress or a midi skirt for an easy, put-together look. They're a good choice on the Costa del Sol when you want a closed shoe that still feels fresh, and they work just as well in spring and autumn with thin socks.

Care

To keep the light colour looking clean, brush the knit gently and wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth. Let them air-dry away from radiators and direct sunlight, and take the insole out now and then to air.
