Pikolinos Malaga W6W-8950 black leather ankle boots

The Pikolinos Malaga black ankle boots (W6W-8950) are a low-cut leather boot with a 4 cm block heel, an inside zip and a woven stitch detail that adds character without fuss.

Materials and comfort

The upper is smooth calf leather. Inside, the lining mixes leather and textile, and the synthetic sole has a tread pattern across the whole base for a steady step on pavements. The wide, wood-effect heel gives you a little lift while staying stable, so they're comfortable enough to wear from morning to evening.

Fit and getting them on

The zip runs down the inner side, with a metal pull engraved with the brand name, and the heel tab helps you slip your foot in, so they go on and off in seconds. The shaft sits just over the ankle, measuring around 25 cm round, with a small V-cut at the front that flatters the foot. The toe is softly rounded.

Design details

On the outer side there's a woven stitch in dark brown, a shade picked up again on the heel tab and the trim around the heel. The Pikolinos label on the collar finishes off a understated boot that's easy to wear.

How to wear them

In black, they work with nearly everything. Pair them with straight or skinny jeans and a knit for everyday, or with tailored trousers or a midi skirt for the office. On cooler days on the Costa del Sol they also look great with a dress and opaque tights. As the shaft is low, they're best with cropped trousers or a hem that falls over the boot.

Care

Wipe them with a soft cloth and use a nourishing cream for black leather now and then. If they get wet, let them dry naturally, away from radiators or other direct heat.
