These Tamaris white leather ballet flats are the sort of shoe you reach for without thinking: a soft rounded toe, a slim bow on the vamp and a flat sole that copes happily with a day on your feet.
The upper is smooth white leather, finished with a soft binding around the topline so the shoe sits neatly on the foot. Inside, the lining is a blend of textile and synthetic material, and the TOUCHit insole uses flexible memory foam that gradually shapes itself to your foot. The insole is fixed rather than removable. The synthetic outsole sits barely a centimetre off the ground, with a wood-effect heel that adds a warm contrast to the white.
There's no fastening, so they simply slip on and off. The last is a standard, average width. They come in an unusually wide run of sizes, from EU 34 to 47, which makes them a handy find if you struggle to get ballet flats in smaller or larger sizes.
White goes with almost anything. Pair them with turned-up jeans and a linen shirt for a relaxed stroll round the old town, or with a midi dress or pleated skirt when you want to look a little smarter but stay comfortable. They also work well with cropped trousers or chinos for the office.
To keep the white leather fresh, wipe it with a soft damp cloth after wearing and treat it now and then with a neutral or white cream for smooth leather. Let them dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
We'd recommend your usual size; the fit is an average width. If you're between sizes, call or email us and we'll help. Your first size exchange is free, and you have 30 days to return them.
The upper is smooth leather. The lining is a textile and synthetic blend, the TOUCHit insole has memory foam, and the outsole is synthetic.
No, the insole is fixed, so these aren't the best choice if you need to wear your own orthotic insoles.
Wipe off dust and marks with a soft damp cloth and use a neutral or white smooth-leather cream from time to time. Avoid drying them in the sun or near a heater.
They're practically flat: the sole is around 10 mm high, with a small wood-effect heel.
