Women's heels and party shoes

Our women's heels and party shoes are for the occasions when you want to look the part without thinking about your feet all evening: a wedding, dinner by the marina or after-work drinks that run late. Right now you'll find styles from Tamaris and La Strada, with textile uppers in black tones that go with dresses, skirts and tailored trousers alike.

Before you choose, check how well the heel holds you, make sure the toe doesn't pinch and pick a height you can wear for hours. Not sure about your size? Your first size exchange is free.

Choosing comfortable party shoes

Start with the occasion. For a long event – ceremony, reception and dancing – a stable heel is worth more than a little extra height. If you don't wear heels often, a mid height is a sensible starting point; check that each step feels steady on pavements and cobbles. For dinner or after-work plans, clean lines in a neutral shade such as black will work with plenty of outfits.

Materials and comfort

The styles currently in this section have textile uppers. Fabric is flexible, moulds nicely to the foot and feels light – handy on warm Costa del Sol evenings. The trade-off is that it's more delicate than leather when it comes to rain and stains, so save these for dry days.

Fit and sizing

With heels, what really matters is the hold at the back and through the midfoot:

  • The heel should feel secure without digging in. If it lifts as you walk, try a different last or half a size before putting up with it.
  • Your foot shouldn't slide forward: if your toes end up pressed into the front, the fit isn't right.
  • Tights change the fit, so try the shoes on with the hosiery you'll actually wear.
  • Try them in the afternoon, when feet are slightly more swollen, and walk around at home before the big day.

If the size isn't right, your first size exchange is free and you have 30 days for exchanges and returns.

Caring for textile shoes

  • Give them a gentle brush after wearing to remove dust.
  • Deal with marks straight away using a barely damp cloth, without rubbing hard.
  • If they get wet, let them dry at room temperature, away from radiators and direct sun, stuffed with paper to keep their shape.
  • Store them in a cloth bag so the fabric stays clean and doesn't rub against other shoes.

Which heel height is easiest for a wedding?

If you don't wear heels often, a mid height with a stable heel is usually easier to manage over a long day than a high heel you're not used to.

How do I look after fabric party shoes?

Brush them after wearing, clean marks with a barely damp cloth and keep them away from rain. If they do get wet, dry them at room temperature with paper inside.
